4. User Accounts and Registration

4.1 Account Creation

5. Data Upload, Privacy, and Machine Learning

5.1 Data Usage Consent

At the point of registration, you will be asked whether you consent to allow your anonymised data to be used for service improvement and machine learning model training purposes (Allow Data Usage). The following applies:

• Early access accounts: Consent to allow anonymised data usage is a mandatory condition of early access registration. Early access is provided at a reduced cost or free of charge in exchange for contributing to the development and improvement of the platform. By registering for early access, you explicitly agree to this condition.
• Standard accounts (future): Once the Service moves beyond early access, data usage consent will be fully optional. You will be able to manage this preference at any time from your account settings.

5.2 How Consented Data May Be Used

Where you have consented to data usage, your anonymised images and analysis results may be used for the following purposes:

• Training and improving our proprietary machine learning models.
• Enhancing the accuracy and reliability of mole analysis.
• Improving Service functionality and performance.
• Conducting internal research and development.

All data used for these purposes is anonymised prior to use. Our machine learning models are proprietary and developed exclusively by Mole Detective. Neither our machine learning models nor any data used to train them is ever shared with, licensed to, or made accessible by any third party under any circumstances.

5.3 Data Retention

• Your uploaded images and analysis results are retained for as long as your account is active.
• You may delete individual uploads or your entire account at any time from within the application.
• Anonymised data that has already been incorporated into machine learning model training cannot be individually identified or removed, as it no longer exists as a discrete record.
• We implement appropriate security measures to protect all uploaded data.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Fees and Billing

• Certain features of our Service may require payment.
• All fees are clearly displayed before purchase.
• Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

6.2 Payment Processing

10.2 User Content

• You retain ownership of the images and content you upload.
• By uploading content, you grant us a licence to process it for the purpose of providing the Service.
• Where you have consented to data usage, you additionally grant us a licence to use your anonymised data for proprietary machine learning model training and service improvement as described in section 5. This licence does not extend to any third party.
• You represent that you have the right to upload and use any content you provide.

11. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which governs how we collect, use, and protect your information, including how we handle special category health data and machine learning model training consent. By using our Service, you consent to our privacy practices.

12. Termination

• Termination does not entitle you to refunds of paid fees.
